Cat and chipmunk friends

Well, I’m not convinced that this cat and chipmunk story, from Shareably and imgur, means that they’re BFF’s, but it is a photo of a cat cuddling up to a rodent who’d normally be considered a meal. It may be a one-off set of photos, but it’s still cute:

About 10 to 20 years ago we had a cat, lived out in the country in southern Ontario. Quite often he would be stretched out on the deck in the sun, and these (we thought stupid) chipmunks would saunter right past his paws, a few inches away, back and forth, not exactly speeding. Neither then, nor any other time, did we see Sebastian (named after J.S. Bach, IIRC) go after chipmunks, though he certainly grabbed and ate stuff in the wild.

I think just one atheist helping another. If we can’t get along, who can?

This attempt to normalize the election will not suffice. Chipmunk beware!

My mom’s cat Trouble was taught early on to not kill little critters. She would chase them all over but not catch them and if they stopped running she would sit and cry until they started again.

How the heck do you teach a cat that?

It involves much screaming and water spraying.

        much.

          🙂

And even then, I’m thinking it would only be successful with certain felines. (Alas.)

Moggie’s just keeping his food fresh, when he’s hungry, that Chipmunk is toast.

Cat looks like he is “making biscuits,” pleased with the munk.
