Jesus gets de-platformed

Inspired by the article about Lionel Shriver I posted a while back, reader Pliny the in Between has created a new cartoon called “The De-Platforming on the Mount“. Click to enlarge.

That is good. If the meek get the earth, who is it gets the wind? Very confusing.

I thought sure you would say Spencer Tracy.

… or “Henry Drummond,” as was Darrow’s roman à clef handle in the book and movie.

In the real world, that wouldn’t have happened. What would’ve happened is that the moment liberal groups got wind a Jew from Israel wanted to give a talk on campus, they would’ve protested. Called for the university to cancel it under the BDS concept. The university provost, P. Pilot, would’ve caved. And he would never have been allowed to speak.

Yes, but not being able to speak is only bad. He also got nailed.

That’s just using the wrong framing. To the liberals, you call Jesus a Palestinian from the West Bank who wants to give a talk on campus.

It wouldn’t work: instead of just being a Jew, he’d be a culturally appropriative Jew.

          “He got nailed…”
          “… wrong framing…”
          LOL

Jesus as Palestinian as Culturally appropriative Jew makes me think of Rachel Dolezal.

Is that his prepared remarks under his arm? I’m sure he would have gotten his speech approved in advance. But, then he doesn’t appear to be reading. Pretty gutsy if that’s an ad-lib.

Well of course the regressive left would no platform him. He’s a Jew.

Instead of voicing Wrong Opinions, perhaps we should be celebrating the true JC

A poem for Jeremy Corbyn – it’s a pity result to be announced on Sat not Sun – spoils the parallel with other JC

Dear, there isn’t sufficient evidence — that is, real, concrete evidence — that a “true JC” ever existed. Indeed, there is more evidence to the contrary, that he was but one in a long line of mythical characters of characteristic virgin birth and a bunch of other traits. Historians have written on this, and there are videos. Check them out, with an open mind, and see what you think — not what you feel or want to believe, but what you think. It is enlightening. And it’s good to come out of the dark, including the underpinnings of the Dark Ages.

I wasn’t asserting that – but rather that he recently has de platforming from another pretender to apotheosis

Ah! I missed it! That’s what I get for being in Trump Country — TC instead of JC?

I ran across opinion piece “Why Atheism is Dead on Arrival” while surfing the web. I was going to comment on just how wrong this “Pastor” was about atheism but alas, they don’t offer a place for comments.

Oh good grief, what a ridiculous article! Spews out all the traditional nonsense about atheists, including how it’s a ‘belief system’.

He’s clearly lost the plot when he says that the numbers of atheists is dwindling whilst Christ saved believers increases. Quite the reverse I would suggest.
