Without the animation I only saw a patched shirt and wondered why an simple, albeit very obvious seam is so funny and what it has to do with cats. D’oh!
Same here. I only saw a patched shirt and had no idea what the joke was, but thanks to your hint I just now opened this page in another browser and finally realized what these other people were seeing.
