It’s time for weekend walkies through the snow down to the Vistula River, but Andrzej and Malgorzata are too slow for the animals. Oh the humanity!
In Polish:
Cyrus: Czy ludzkość za nami podąża?
Hili: Ludzkość jest jakaś niezdecydowana.
Cyrus: Czy ludzkość za nami podąża?
Hili: Ludzkość jest jakaś niezdecydowana.
Oh, the humanity!
As Ceiling Cat is my witness, I thought turkeys could fly!
I wonder if the pets’ saying “the humanity” is as cute in Polish as it is in English.
I think it is but I’m biased. Maybe some other Polish speaker could answer.
It’s apt, since their notion of humanity consists of the two of you and the relatively small numbers of people in your circle (including PCC!).
I imagine us hairless apes are pretty much all the same to a cat or a dog, and our value is directly proportional to whether we have food or are able to open the kitchen window and bring them back inside!
It’s really fun seeing Hili and Cyrus and your lovely home. They are much beloved in this slice of humanity!
Not to Baihu. His reactions to the people we meet on the trail vary considerably. The exuberant young guys obviously make him nervous (for no reason; they all love him as much as anybody else), but the one cute teen girl with her mom seemed to enchant him. The crazy cat lady might have puzzled him, but he didn’t seem to mind her. And so on.
All in all, he seems to be a very good judge of character, even if he’s suspicious of everybody who’s not me.

He can literally smell it on us.
That much snow, and I’d be dithering, too! And shivering, and….

Everyday I marvel at what how lucky Cyrus is! He was adopted into such a wonderful family.
Oh, but we are lucky as well. Cyrus is a wonderful dog!
So lovely to hear that. I love seeing him and Hili cuddled up together.
Definitely warms the heart, on a day in MI that doesn’t look much different from that in Poland. (Well, except for several more inches of snow!)
