ZeFrank on the superiority of cats vs. d*gs

As Diana McP. told me when sending me this new “Dear Kitten” video by the famouz ZeFrank (“True facts about. . . “), it is perfectly timed for the Cats vs. Dogs debate on Saturday. And indeed it is, conclusively demonstrating the superiority of felids.

This series of videos is obviously sponsored by Friskies, and there are links at the end to three other “Dear Kitten” videos, none of which I’ve seen.

I think Muslims, who will have nothing to do with pigs or dogs, may think otherwise.

My life is enriched by both a dog and a pair of cats and I wouldn’t want to be deprived of either. My Golden Retriever, Happy, understands many more words than do Snow Pea & Bamboo, our Oriental shorthair cats, but both are intelligent in their own ways.

Happy never chews anything but Snow Pea has destroyed shoes, bath mats, countless sweaters and socks, the bedroom curtains and is presently making a project of Happy’s bed from Orvis.

Golden Retrievers are known for their affectionate nature but, Bamboo, is considerably more affectionate than Happy. He is always by my side and prefers to sleep with me or my wife than sleep in his own bed with Snow Pea.

The point of all this is that dogs and cats don’t always fit the stereotypes people assign them.

The idea that dogs do more damage by chewing things than cats do by chewing or scratching is pure felid propaganda. We’ve had a few cats and a few dogs and, overall, the cats do much more damage to our stuff. We’ve never had a dog chew through electrical cords, never had a dog claw the wood furniture or the wood molding.

I was surprised that the cat propaganda failed to level a charge against dogs that really is true: they’ll eat cat s**t.

“My Golden Retriever, Happy, understands many more words than do Snow Pea & Bamboo, our Oriental shorthair cats”

Classic cat deception technique. They can’t be arsed to respond to every little query or instruction so they pretend they can’t understand what you’re saying. They can understand every word. And they’re judging you.

I love how cats turn their backs to you when they are very actively ignoring you, but their little ear twitches give them away.

..That St. Bernard puppy is kinda cute. Not Orson rolling over to look at me upside-down while waving his paws at me cute (because nothing is), but still kinda cute. Perhaps in a “Cute because someone else has it and I can look at its cuteness without living with it” kind of way.

I don’t think either species is superior to the other, they are just different from one another. To express a preference for one or the other is simply like preferring vanilla ice cream to chocolate, or vice versa.

I had always thought that that was the sound made by a cow with buck teef;-)

Yeah…cheap cows are like that. You really want to go for at least a buck and a quarter, ideally a buck fifty. More expensive, but definitely woof it.
