What’s better than a three-dog night? A three five-cat day!
This is just in from Dobrzyn. Since fall is coming on quickly, and the landscape is aflame, Hili and her servants have provided us with not one but THREE extra dialogues, one with two pictures
A: What are you doing?
Hili: I’m admiring the sunset.
Ja: Co robisz?
Hili: Podziwiam zachód słońca.
*****
And the second:
A: The Sun will disappear in a moment.
Hili: Don’t scare me!
In Polish:
Ja: To słońce za chwilę zajdzie.
Hili: Nie strasz mnie.
*******
And MOAR:
A: Hili, an evening is not the end of the world.Hili: Oh, in that case I’m going mouse hunting.
In Polish:
Ja: Hili, wieczór to jeszcze nie koniec świata.Hili: A, jak tak, to idę polować na myszy.

Ah…so good to see that Hili, along with all clear-thinking denizens of our terrestrial abode, worships the true and glorious source of all that is light and good in the world.
Most all cats do, of course. Not enough humans, though….
Cheers,

Ah, I see from the last picture that Hili has mastered the skilz of making a palm-face.
“Hili: I’m admiring the sunset.”
Are you sure about the translation? Shouldn’t it be “I’m admired by the sunset”?
Podziwiać means to admire, so the translation is correct.
“Podziwiam zachód słońca” means “I am admiring the sunset” or literally “I admire (I am admiring) fall of the sun”.
The sun admires (is admiring) me would be
Słońce podziwia mnie. or
Słońce mnie się podziwia.
Well, whatever it is, Hili is worthy of some reciprocated worshipping, by Sol. 🙂 Gorgeous pictures.
In my wildest dreams I hope one day that the common phrasing will be “I admire the turning of the Earth.” It’s a perspective thing.
Yes, you are right. The Sun admired Hili and Hili was admiring the Sun, they were admiring each other.
The second picture is so expressive, I almost agree that cats can show emotion (much less so then my chihuahua Luna, of course!).
Aw, what an adorable series of shots. 😀
yes they are!
