World’s coolest sleeping cat

Reader Linda Grilli sent this photo, and although some of you may cry “Photoshop!”, Ceiling Cat tells me that this is real.

This cat has a lot of hang-ups! Anyway, Linda Grilli can say that she has a fur coat in her closet.

Not my closet; I found this on Cheezburger.

However, my own Clawed Monet can, and does, open all the closet doors and the lower cupboard doors. Sometimes he just leaves them open (just to prove he can), and sometimes he naps inside among the clothes, pots and pans, cleaning stuff, etc. L

Freddie-the-Pusser pulls open my closets and either climbs up onto my nicest sweaters or sleeps behind my long skirts. On more than one occasion I’ve had to jettison a skirt just before going out the door because my sig other mentions that the back is covered w black fur.

I always considered that to be tasteful decoration… (However, I admit to owning few if any long skirts)

In some quarters, cat hair is the sexiest accessory one can wear….

I knew I was going out on a limb to assume the cat was yours. Beautiful cat, btw.

It’s a bit disturbing how much that cat looks like Baihu. But that’s not my closet….

You’ve heard about Six Dinner Sid, right?

Mebbe you are host to Six Dinner Baihu.

We used to have two kittehs Silo (all white) and Pepper (guess!) who would collectively curl up in an Easter basket kind of thing, then it was Full Snooze Ahead. Looked like a yin/yang illustration.

Their path to it was unusual as well. Floor -> back of sofa -> top of microwave -> top of bookcase.

We have a cat who used to do this as well, sadly she’s too old and infirm to get up there anymore, I say sadly as she only ever slept on the wife’s clothes and not on mine. At the same time we had another cat who took great delight in hiding the sticky lint roller used for removing cat hairs, Since Merimas stopped sleeping on the coat hangers, Belladonna has stopped hiding the roller, coincidence? maybe not.

My small female tabby used to sleep on the top 1.5″ edge of an open door, just to get away from the other three…

I bet that kitty’s people wondered why there was always cat fur at knee height when they had just taken their pants out of the closet.

If you own cats long enough, you stop wondering how cat hair gets in strange places.

With all the cat DNA strewn all over your house and clothing, surely no sane mouse would come within a mile of the place. Look on the bright side. (Of course, this could also mean that you get only insane mice.)

I have just remembered my aunt’s cat, a large tuxedo tom, whose favorite outdoor snoozing place was an old unused birdbath. Mufti would lie in it, taking up the whole shallow dish with only his tail hanging over the edge.

I had a Himalayan who liked to sleep in the bath tub or the sink. The Dutch oven in a kitchen cabinet was also used. When he curled up in that, all we could see was hair. The cabinet doors were held closed by magnets and he’d hit them so they’d pop open. Naturally, he had to patrol all cabinets daily, so I’d come home to find most of them open. The cat I have now loves to sleep on plastic bags and cardboard.

This is my cat….her name is Ally. She was about a year old. I don’t know why she sleep up there, but she did it more than once. I’m not sure which friend originally posted it, but now Ally is a star….
