Yesterday’s Get Fuzzy cartoon:
If you pray to the clipboard, and I pray to God, would the results be any different statistically?
They wouldn’t be statistically different except the clipboard might exist.
The clipboard really does unlike God.haha
I’ll keep track of the statistics on my clipboard.
Best laugh I’ve had today.
Is that libertarian free will, or compatabilist free will?
Is the theory that we don’t have free will inconsistent with something? Or does it suffer from the same objection.
It’s obviously Buridan’s Clipboard:
Maybe it WANTS to go to one of them but it can’t for some reason.
And spiders hear through their legs.
“A theory that that is consistent with everything explains nothing”
My big objection to creationism – it explains not only everything about the way the Universe is (“God wanted it that way”) but any other Universe, possible or im-.
What about a theory that is consistent with nothing, like the biblical “theory” of creation?
This is trivialising the notion of ‘free will’ and is not a parallel situation.
Reblogged this on thewordpressghost and commented:
Here is an adorable cartoon!
Clipboards don’t have free will, therefore humans don’t have it either.
