Another snake handler goes home to Jesus

Picture 3

Pastor Randy “Mack” Wolford handles a rattlesnake during a service at the Church of the Lord Jesus in Jolo, W.Va. Each Labor Day weekend, the church has hosted a well-documented “homecoming” for snake handlers who believe that the Bible mandates that true Christians “take up serpents and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick and they will recover.” Wolford says: “Anybody can do it that believes it.”

I am a Pentecostal, but I do not handler snakes because I see it a sin and violation of Gods word. Jesus was on the cliff and Satan told him, if you Gods son jump off and let God save you and Jesus told Satan. Don’t temp the Lord. It is wrong to temp the Lord and that is what these people are doing. The Bible says, My people persist for the lack of knowledge. This is absolutely the lack of knowledge. God is not going to save ignorance. The scripture means if you accidentally step on a snake or accidentally are bitten not tempting the Lord. God Bless , Diana

I would like to add that I mistakenly misspelled “Perish” so I want to repeat the Bible reads, My people “perish” for the lack of knowledge. Thank you Diana
