There are two hides here—one for the main vamp and shaft, and another for the wingtip “foxing”; guess both. Boots by Falconhead of El Paso:
Cowhide and alligator
Not alligator … Gila?
my second guess was ostrich
Why “dude”? Because they’re too flashy for doing real work in?
I do get slightly annoyed by my wife’s insistence that I should go out in winter wearing “office shoes” when mountain boots, rubber welly boots, or sandals would be appropriate.
The main leather could be ~ anything. The wingtips could be armadillo belly skin?
I believe the wingtip is a frog skin and the main part of the boot cowhide.
“Bless Your Beautiful Hide”!
I could reproduce that foxing effect with toasted marshmallows. And I would charge a lot less.
Cowhide vamp; shark wingtips.
Kangaroo and goanna (wing tips).
Skin and different skin!
Them’s sure some purdy kickers.
I’ve given up trying to guess the leathers, but those sure are a snazzy pair of footgear.
Calf and frog (Bufo marinus).
cow hide and monitor lizard (I suspect that frog skin is too thin)
Oooh! Oooh! I know this one!
Calf and frog!
Isn’t that a pub?
…or a Christian heavy metal band….
Ostrich on the tips and heels. the main leather could be about anything but I would guess calf.
