At Non Sequitur, Danae’s desire to be Pope continues (today’s strip at top):
And, speaking of Catholics, here’s the latest Jesus and Mo:
Sometimes there’s a fine line between satire and simply telling it like it is. It’s hard to tell on which side of the line that Jesus and Mo cartoon sits!
I think they are telling it as it is.
The beauty is that it is both.
I think that the Artist has one foot firmly on each side of that fence.
I just hope there aren’t any splinters, and he doesn’t have to try running.
The Onion had a good headline, “Being Pope Was Great, But You Can’t Play Make-Believe Forever”.
Wow…that’s like, exactly the message I’d love to spread at a congregation, if I thought I could get away with it with my hide intact….
You have a congregation? Wow – respect!
No, you misunderstand me.
“If I could get access to a congregation long enough to spread that message and if I thought I could survive the experience….”
Oh dear. Truth is stranger than fiction:
This however seems a tad optimistic – perhaps a spell in prison beckons?
“I will now spend the rest of my life in retirement. I will play no further part in the public life of the Catholic Church in Scotland.”
