If I were the cat, I’d pick a different mouse hole to haunt. This mouse clearly knows how to use power tools.

See comment above yours; that is clearly a mouse with carpentry skills. Maybe he learned them by watching “This Old Mouse.”

We’re dealing with a very clever mouse here. At the very least, one that knows how to use power tools, a spirit level and a pair of compasses.

      Can’t have been Pinky.

Nah — it just likes that spacious, grandiose style.

This is clearly a case of Schrödinger’s mouse:

A mouse, a cat and a treat is placed in a house. If a mouse comes near enough to detect the treat, the cat can pounce, killing the mouse. There is a supposed 50% chance of this happening. The Copenhagen interpretation of quantum mechanics implies that after a while, the mouse is simultaneously alive and dead.

[T&J interpretation: The mouse is in the box. Very much alive.]

[Oh, I forgot. I nicked the basic text from Wikipedia, to save time.]

Pure cynicism. You can’t credit Tibbs with a little feline charity?

Nice double meaning there. If the mouse buys it, it buys it.
