I have landed!

I am in the U.S. for a long while, so let the posts begin! But of course we must begin with a cat. This cartoon comes from reader Sarah via reader Malgorzata, who helps run the Polish Rationalists:

So did you get enough to eat? We worry.
Also my hopes of a JC talk were dashed. Couldn’t make it to Edinburgh. Can we line up some talks for your next visit?

To be honest, I was starting to wonder what you actually did at UChicago. Didn’t have to teach any classes this semester?

This reminds me of a joke I’ve been telling everyone I meet lately. My wife doesn’t think it is funny at all, at least the way I tell it.

A dog walks into a fancy restaurant. When the waiter comes, the dog says, “Let me see your leftovers.”

It gets me every time. :)

Yay! Welcome back. How about a trip to Australia, for the next GAC maybe?
