I give a talk

Posting will be light today as I have to prepare and deliver a talk at Harvard’s Museum of Natural History, “Why evolution is true and why many people still don’t believe it.” It’s at 6 pm. in the Museum’s Geology Lecture Hall (24 Oxford Street, Cambridge) and it’s free (more information is at the link).  There will be a book signing thereafter, and then I’m off for a well-deserved and bibulous dinner.

If you’re in the area and want to attend or say “hi,” you’re welcome.

Very interesting. This behavior is completely out of character for the type specimen, GeoUU Littleshrub.

I’ll vote for posting the video, too. As stated already, we Texas need all the help we can get to ward off the silly religious dogma we are subjected to on a daily basis.

I’ll second that vote – have similar problems here at the foot of Africa!

Looking forward to it! It’s been on my calendar for months.
Now I wonder how much in advance one should show up in order to secure a seat. But in the end, I’m sure that I’ll enjoy it even if I have to sit on the floor.

My next door neighbor’s son – I’ve known him most of his life – graduated from Harvard with a B.S. in physics and is now a PhD candidate there in computational biology. Very smart young man. I texted him and he may go. I asked him to extend a “hello” to you if he goes.

The place was packed–standing room only. The talk was great–chock full of information, yet succinct and often funny. If Prof. Coyne ever visits your hometowns, fellow readers, don’t miss him!

I second that. We also were sent home with a message about disfunctional nations.
