Ah what would we do without CGI?

Cute commercials. Kitty litter is heavy…might have to try this.

      Cat Graphical Interaction?

There’re lots of lightweight litter options out there. Since Baihu’s bout with crystals (now controlled by adding a tablespoon of water to each of his three or four daily meals), I’ve been using Pet Ecology PerfectLitter Alert. It’s super lightweight, and it turns red with high pH urine. There’s also the World’s Best Cat Litter, and Swheat Scoop, and various other non-clay litters. Most are flushable and have less of an environmental impact both in manufacture and disposal than clay-based litter. They usually perform better, too.

      Cheers,

I’ve used SwheatScoop for my Max for years, and while I wouldn’t call it light it does lack the poisonous dust particles clay based litter produces; and it’s definitely flushable. I’ve also tried The World’s Best Cat Litter and it has all the virtues of SwheatScoop but is a lot more expensive. I’d recommend either, but don’t expect them to be what anyone would call “light”. I have to wonder though what the ingredients of Cat’s Pride are.
Commercials never tell you things like that.

Call World’s Best and SwheatScoop medium-weight, then. They’re significantly lighter than the clay versions, but nowhere near as light as the Pet Ecology stuff I’ve got Baihu using now. I don’t think the Pet Ecology stuff is wood shavings (like what would come off a lathe), but that’s the closest thing I can think of to compare them to.

That long-tailed orange cat is a dead ringer for my long departed Mao-Jai, suspected of being half Abyssinian. Smart kitty! When I first got him, if he felt neglected, he’d jump up onto the chest of drawers in my bedroom and methodically push items, one by one, onto the floor until he got a satisfactory response.

Smartest cat I’ve ever owned, with the longest tail of them all.

Ah, the memories of kittehs gone by.
